On October 19th, Maqsut Narikbayev University<\/a> <\/strong>proudly hosted an inspiring Model United Nations (MUN) event, organised in collaboration with the UN Resident Coordinator\u2019s Office<\/strong><\/a>. This educational simulation was dedicated to the upcoming United Nations Day, celebrated annually on October 24th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MUN brought together brilliant students from several leading Kazakhstani universities, including MNU, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, and Turan University. In a vibrant atmosphere filled with rigorous debates and dynamic discussions, participants tackled pressing global issues, showcasing their diplomatic skills, analytical thinking, and teamwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kurtmulla Abdulganiyev<\/strong><\/a>, Head of the UN Resident Coordinator\u2019s Office, praised the event\u2019s organisation and the exceptional preparation of the students, particularly highlighting their impressive command of the UN\u2019s official language. His recognition underscored the importance of such initiatives in nurturing the next generation of leaders and diplomats in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event was made possible thanks to the steadfast support of the UN Resident Coordinator\u2019s Office, which fully endorsed the student-led initiative. Participants were given a unique opportunity to engage with the real-world processes of international diplomacy and decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Endowment MNU<\/strong><\/a> once again emphasises that initiatives like MUN help to uncover, support, and develop young talents, a key priority of the fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would also like to acknowledge the significant contributions of the event\u2019s sponsors, \u201cAbdi<\/a><\/strong>\u201d and \u201cRomanovskiy Products<\/strong><\/a>\u201d, whose support played an essential role in the success of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we express our deep appreciation to our esteemed alumni who dedicated their time to evaluate the students’ papers and presentations. The best participants were awarded by distinguished MNU alumni with impressive backgrounds in international relations as Kabaziyev Manarbek, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Foreign Policy Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Baqbergen Koishibayev, First Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and Saule Isabekova, Coordinator of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime Program in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MUN at MNU was not merely an academic exercise; it became a platform for growth, leadership, and meaningful engagement among Kazakhstan’s brightest students. These young participants are proving that they are ready to tackle global challenges and contribute actively to the international community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
