A discussion on the conduct of arbitration proceedings was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University, where young lawyers explored strategies for the prevention and resolution of international disputes.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focal point of the event was a presentation by Mukhit Yeleuov, Partner at the law firm ADL Disputes, titled “How Can Behavioural Sciences Help a Lawyer in Arbitration?” He shared practical examples of applying behavioural approaches to arbitration strategy, client engagement, and effective communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme also featured a panel discussion with experts possessing hands-on experience in large-scale commercial and investment arbitration cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is a truly valuable opportunity for all participants to learn from the organising team and young practitioners from across the globe, with a special emphasis on Kazakhstan and the Eurasian region. We are grateful to MNU for providing the platform, as well as to ICCA and the International Arbitration Centre for their support. As part of Eurasian Arbitration Week (EAW25), leading speakers will offer their insights into the development of arbitration practice both in Kazakhstan and throughout the Eurasian space,”<\/em> said Christopher Campbell-Holt, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Maqsut Narikbayev University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was organised by Young ICCA, a global arbitration network for practitioners under the age of 40. The discussion was supported by Maqsut Narikbayev University, the international law firm White & Case, the International Arbitration Centre, and the Chamber of Legal Consultants of the Kazakhstan Bar Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event has established itself as a significant platform for knowledge exchange, the strengthening of professional networks, and the promotion of progressive approaches to international arbitration. It underscores the growing interest in fostering an arbitration culture in Kazakhstan and the Eurasian region, while also highlighting the importance of dialogue between government institutions, business, and the legal community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
