At Maqsut Narikbayev University, an inclusive environment is built not only on accessible infrastructure but also on a comprehensive support system that helps every student feel confident and engaged in university life. A key role in this system is played by the Student Social Protection Manager, who can be reached either via corporate email or in person on the 0 floor (Pesochnica), office DSA. The Manager\u2019s work focuses on supporting students with special educational needs, those from large or single-parent families, orphans, as well as students enrolled through quotas or receiving social benefits.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students may seek assistance on matters such as <\/strong>accommodation in dormitories or hostels<\/strong><\/a>, obtaining discounted transport passes, and accessing information on tuition discounts and social benefits. If needed, the Manager also refers students to a psychologist for individual consultations or training sessions dedicated to adaptation, stress management, and communication skills development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special attention is given to social integration:<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>students are encouraged to participate in clubs, organisations, and initiatives where they can find like-minded peers and realise their potential. In addition, the Psychological Support Service<\/strong><\/a> operates to help students cope with challenges and strengthen their emotional well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For students with special educational needs, the university provides a barrier-free environment:<\/em><\/strong> equipped ramps, emergency call buttons for security assistance, access for specialised taxis through the parking area on the 0 floor, adapted restrooms with emergency call buttons, threshold-free doors ensuring unobstructed entry to classrooms and offices, as well as Braille markings on lift buttons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An important element of the inclusive infrastructure<\/em><\/strong> is the medical office<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, where students can receive primary healthcare. The staff are specially trained in providing emergency assistance, and the facility itself is equipped in line with accessibility standards.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At MNU, we strive to ensure that every student feels part of a united academic community. Inclusivity is not only about accessible infrastructure but also about recognising individual needs, supporting psychological well-being, and fostering social development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
