The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Kazakhstan, Antonello De Riu, visited Maqsut Narikbayev University. He delivered a lecture for students of the International Relations program.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonello De Riu<\/strong> has headed Italy\u2019s diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan since the beginning of this year. He spoke about his 30 years of professional experience, the importance of expanding the partnership between the two countries, and answered students\u2019 questions. The lecture was held as part of the special course Applied Diplomacy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor students who want to become diplomats, I would first of all recommend being patient and composed, since throughout my career I have realized that these are the most important qualities. Another quality essential for a diplomat is the ability to listen, as it helps create the conditions for successful negotiations and developing proposals,\u201d<\/em> emphasized Antonello De Riu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that last week in Astana, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev<\/strong> and President of Italy Sergio Mattarella<\/strong> held talks. In addition, MNU Assistant Professor Alberto Pecoraro<\/strong>commented on the prospects for the development of Kazakh\u2013Italian relations on the Silk Way TV channel.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
