On January 18, 2024, Maqsut Narikbayev University held the official opening of the Research School of Public and Private International Law. The mission of the new scientific school is to promote knowledge and conduct research in the field of public and private international law. Among the recent achievements of the school is the publication of the practical guide \u201cCommentary on the Norms of the Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Field of Private International Law\u201d in Russian and Kazakh, authored by PhD, Assistant Professor of the Department of International Law, Nurzhan Sergaliyevich Yeshniyazov. Currently, work is underway on two major projects: \u201cHandbook on Kazakhstani Law of Treaties: Collection of Instruments and Materials\u201d and \u201cInternational Encyclopedia of Laws. Private International Law. Kazakhstan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The research school actively develops academic and practical activities, organizing research seminars, round tables, and conferences, as well as training qualified specialists in international law. Special attention is given to supporting students: members of the school conduct training sessions in preparation for prestigious international law competitions \u2014 Jessup Competition, Vis Moot, Pax Moot, Jean-Pictet Competition \u2014 and organize debates within the Lex Fantastica club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
