This was announced on the Modern Nomads program of the international news channel Euronews.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">It is worth noting that <strong>President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has declared 2026 the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. <\/strong>The new episode of the program highlighted the work of the International Artificial Intelligence Center Alem.ai, the expansion of online public services in the country, and AI-related projects at MNU. Previously, the university introduced a mandatory artificial intelligence course for students and <a href=\"https:\/\/mnu.kz\/ru\/news\/ai-lab-mnu-launches-artificial-intelligence-laboratories\/\">launched two AI laboratories.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>\u201cWe have developed a hybrid AI+X program, in which students spend the first two years studying IT disciplines in depth. After that, they can choose any academic field offered by the university, making the program more than just a technical one. As a result, graduates will possess the skills to apply AI across various disciplines,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>Sergey Pen<\/strong>, Vice Chairman of the Management Board of MNU for Science, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Sergey Pen<\/strong> also emphasized that AI is not intended to replace universities, but rather to transform them. Earlier, MNU presented a comprehensive model for <a href=\"https:\/\/mnu.kz\/ru\/news\/mnu-presents-a-model-for-integrating-artificial-intelligence-technologies-into-the-educational-process\/\">integrating AI technologies into the educational process and,<\/a> together with its partners, <a href=\"https:\/\/mnu.kz\/ru\/news\/mnu-to-develop-an-ai-model-for-legal-document-drafting\/\">announced the launch of the joint LegalTech Lab project,<\/a> which aims to develop an AI model to assist in the preparation of legal documents.
