At Maqsut Narikbayev University, the memory of the outstanding scholar and academician Salyk Zimanov was honored. To mark the 105th anniversary of the University\u2019s Honorary Rector, a scientific and educational event titled Zimanov Readings: Thoughts Ahead of Their Time was held.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students and faculty of MNU discussed the scholar\u2019s legal legacy and his contribution to the formation and development of Kazakhstan\u2019s legal foundations. Participants delivered substantive presentations highlighting the academician\u2019s high professional competence, scientific courage, and his special role in the establishment of the national school of legal scholarship. The professor\u2019s works were also presented during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSalyk Zimanov\u2019s philosophical assertions have not lost their relevance. His reflections on law and the state acquire new meaning in the context of the legal development of independent Kazakhstan. They also resonate with contemporary reforms. Every word of his is a conclusion that has stood the test of time. Today, his ideas serve as a spiritual and ideological guiding star that provides direction to society<\/em>,\u201d noted Ramazan Nurtayev<\/strong>, Emeritus Professor of MNU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that Salyk Zimanov<\/strong> was the first Doctor of Law among Kazakh scholars. His academic works, such as \u201cThe Political System of Kazakhstan at the End of the 18th Century,\u201d \u201cThe Constitution and Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan,\u201d and \u201cThe Political Views of Shokan Ualikhanov,\u201d<\/em> among others, have become part of the \u201cgolden fund\u201d of legal scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
