Legal scholars at Maqsut Narikbayev University discussed the upcoming entry into force of the country’s new Constitution during a roundtable attended by members of the legal community.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event focused on the key provisions of the new Constitution, its significance for shaping a new framework of public governance and the rule of law, as well as the role of the legal community in implementing the constitutional reform. Participants examined the establishment of new constitutional institutions, the development of parliamentary transparency and public participation in governance, and the strengthening of constitutional and legal culture. The scholars emphasized the importance of raising public awareness and understanding of the Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n

“Currently, a number of professors from our university are involved in developing a Comprehensive Program for Promoting Constitutional and Legal Culture and Public Legal Literacy. Our goal is to move beyond simply informing citizens about the provisions of the Constitution and instead foster a deeper understanding of its values and practical significance. This document is intended to become a comprehensive tool that brings together educational, research, informational, and public engagement initiatives,” <\/em>said Aliya Orazbayeva<\/strong>, Director of the Institute of Constitutional and Political Studies at MNU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several professors of the university also delivered presentations. The roundtable concluded with an expert discussion during which participants explored the practical aspects of implementing the new Constitution, its impact on the further development of the national legal system, the improvement of legislation, and the strengthening of the principles of the rule of law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Constitution is scheduled to enter into force on July 1, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
