The Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan focused on the improvement of media legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deans of journalism faculties at various universities across the country have actively engaged in a discussion of the proposed amendments to the law “On the Mass Media”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experts noted the importance of shortening the time limits for considering journalistic requests and suggested introducing specific administrative penalties for officials who obstruct the work of the media.
