Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) held the first graduation ceremony for the master’s program in “Intellectual Property and Business Law”. The program was launched last year in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
For one year, 18 specialists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India and Tanzania studied copyright and patent law, trademarks, commercialization of innovations, international business law and other courses. The faculty comprised representatives from MNU, the WIPO Academy and universities in the UK and Singapore. Maqsut Narikbayev University Provost Sergey Pen and Vice-Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Daniel Vaissov presented diplomas to the master’s graduates at the 30th anniversary graduation ceremony.
«I congratulate all graduates on receiving their diplomas. I hope this knowledge will help you become leading specialists in the field of law. As you know, WIPO is an international organization that sets standards for intellectual property protection. The Ministry of Justice, as the authorized body in this area, pays great attention to developing human resources and training lawyers in this field,» said Daniel Vaissov.
It is worth noting that Maqsut Narikbayev University offers 16 postgraduate education programs. This year, 130 people received master’s degrees.
