Applicants from around the world will be able to participate in the annual Maqsut Narikbayev Scholarship competition. Winners will receive grants to study in the university’s bachelor’s or master’s degree programs.
The competition for undergraduate applicants will be held in three stages and will give Kazakhstani applicants the opportunity to win a full tuition grant and scholarship for one of the university’s 13 bachelor’s degree programs. Graduates of 11th grade schools of the current year are eligible to participate. Selection is based on academic achievements, motivation, leadership qualities, and the applicant’s social contribution.
The competition for school graduates includes submitting an application with the required documents, writing an abstract on one of the proposed topics according to the chosen major, participating in an individual online interview, and defending a presentation. UNT scores, IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Duolingo, CAE, and Kaztest results (only for the “Jurisprudence” and “International Law” programs), as well as awards in national and international Olympiads, will also be taken into account. Applications are accepted until June 21, 2026, and the results will be announced on August 10, 2026.
Meanwhile, bachelor’s degree holders may compete for a full tuition grant in one of the university’s master’s degree programs. Participants are required to submit an application, prepare motivation and recommendation letters, complete an online interview, and write and defend a Research Proposal. Applications from candidates from Kazakhstan are accepted until June 30, 2026, while applications from international candidates are accepted until May 31, 2026.
