Students of Maqsut Narikbayev University explored the specifics of environmental law in China by taking part in the summer school at Lanzhou University.
The summer school was held from August 5 to 23 this year. Participants included MNU Law School students Dana Kumargazy, Shynar Baiton, Shyngys Turzhigit, and Kanat Kaiyrosh. Students from universities in Uzbekistan also took part in the programme.
The programme featured lectures by professors from Lanzhou University and invited international lecturers on various aspects of environmental law. Participants discussed current environmental challenges, international cooperation, as well as the development and application of environmental legislation in different countries. The students also took part in excursions around Gansu Province, where they had an opportunity to learn more about local traditions and Chinese culture.
The event was organised as part of the cooperation between the two universities.
