On 15 May 2025 at 19:00, ORTA Community will host a lecture by Anton Borisovich Didikin, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Candidate of Legal Sciences, MNU Associate Professor, Editor-in-Chief of ‘Law and State’, and lecturer at @mnu.legal.philosophy. His profile is @wandererabd82.
The lecture addresses personal identity, the persistence of the self, free will and the influence of the digital footprint on perceptions of personality. The programme traces philosophical views from the Enlightenment to the challenges of the 21st century, including Thomas Nagel’s question ‘What is it like to be a bat?’ and contemporary neuroscientific discoveries.
The invitation addresses philosophers, lawyers, neurobiologists and others interested in the boundaries of the human self. The topic is linked to SDG 4, Quality Education, through interdisciplinary knowledge sharing beyond the university campus.
