Today, on June 4, 2019, School of German Law at the University of KAZGUU named after M.S. Narikbayev in partnership with the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg (Germany) was opened.
The opening and signing ceremony of the agreement was attended by German Ambassador to Kazakhstan Tilo Klinner, Austrian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Dr. Gerhard Seiller, Rector of M.S. Narikbayev KAZGUU University Talgat Narikbayev, Rector of the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Professor Christian Tissier, Yerlan Irgebayev, Deputy Director of the Department of Higher Education and Postgraduate Studies of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As part of the opening, the dual Master’s degree program “International Economic Law and Process” (LLM Internationales Wirtschaftsrecht und Wirtschaftsprozessrecht) was presented, and a new Project Office for Legal Education at KAZGUU University, created with the initiative of Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhakypova Fatima Nadyrovna, was presented.
During the event, specific areas of international partnership of law schools of partner universities were presented as an effective model for the development of legal science and education, joint research and education of a new generation of legal scientists in Kazakhstan, as well as the tasks of the project office, which is designed to stimulate internal changes in universities implementing legal educational programs.
