MNU Students Among the Best at the National Journalism Olympiad

Students of Maqsut Narikbayev University won second place at the 18th National Journalism Olympiad. The competition was held at SDU University.

The annual student competition brought together representatives of 15 domestic universities. The MNU team narrowly missed first place, уступив with a minimal margin to competitors from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Third place was awarded to the team from Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

The subject Olympiad in the field of “Journalism and Information” included several stages. The jury particularly highlighted the MNU students’ creative thinking and video editing skills, as well as their high level of knowledge in media ethics. The team members were Dilnaz Kordabay, Arailym Maisatai, and Dariya Gumarova.

It is worth noting that two years ago, students of the International School of Journalism at MNU became winners of the National Journalism Olympiad.
