The annual student research conference of the International School of Economics was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University. Students and master’s degree candidates from five universities in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan presented the results of their research projects.
The conference brought together more than 50 participants from MNU, SDU University, Coventry University Kazakhstan, Tashkent State University of Economics, and Tashkent International University. The expanded participation strengthened academic cooperation among regional universities and highlighted the conference’s growing openness to international scientific collaboration. The event was supported by the Economic Research Institute.
Young researchers presented their studies in a poster session format. The topics covered included Kazakhstan’s experience in currency risk hedging strategies in emerging markets, a comparative analysis of market systems and economic efficiency, and the impact of automation on employment in the domestic labor market. The best research projects were awarded special prizes.
The conference contributes to strengthening the university’s research environment, developing students’ critical thinking and analytical skills, and fostering a new generation of researchers.
