A meeting was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University between the university leadership and an official delegation from the Tyumen Region (Russia). The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation.
The delegation from the Tyumen Region became acquainted with MNU’s activities, as well as its scientific and educational potential. The dialogue focused on strengthening international ties and creating new educational formats that combine scientific achievements with the demands of the modern labor market. The delegation included representatives of the regional leadership, heads of the departments of education and investment policy, as well as members of the депутатский corps and business community, including leaders of the oil and gas cluster.
During the meeting, the MNU leadership presented the university’s key research programs and projects in the field of artificial intelligence. Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region Andrey Panteleev introduced the concept of the oil and gas cluster and proposed joining efforts between scientific organizations of the two countries to address challenges in the fuel and energy sector. Particular attention was paid to the Interuniversity Campus project in Tyumen, which will become a center for innovation and unite all five universities of the region.
It is worth noting that the Tyumen Region is actively developing economic and cultural cooperation with Kazakhstan. In addition, MNU successfully cooperates with more than ten Russian universities.
