Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) joined the large-scale autumn environmental month-long campaign “Taza Qazaqstan”. A total of 300 university students and staff contributed to the greening of Astana.
As part of the environmental campaign, MNU students and staff held a tree-planting initiative in the “Nura” district. The event was also supported by representatives of the “Astana Zhastary” volunteer movement. In addition, a community clean-up was held on the university grounds.
The autumn environmental campaign began on September 12 this year and is continuing across all districts of Astana. MNU emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of respect for nature and responsibility for the cleanliness of the environment.
It is worth recalling that last year, as part of the nationwide environmental campaign “Taza Qazaqstan”, approximately 200 trees, more than 10,000 deciduous and coniferous shrubs, and around 2,500 plants were planted in the university’s Themis Square.
