Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) has delivered a course on using artificial intelligence in professional activities for military personnel of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A total of 75 participants learned the fundamentals of vibe coding.
The two-day practical training brought together conscripts serving in the Air Defence Forces and Ground Forces. Participants learned how to develop their own digital solutions to address specific tasks. They acquired skills in analysing and visualising large datasets, developing platforms and automating workflows.

“Vibe coding will be very useful in my day-to-day work. It allows tasks to be completed much faster and more efficiently. What I liked most was the ability to use AI to work with several applications simultaneously by bringing them together. The programme generates the necessary code, while the user simply needs to formulate the task correctly,” said Gani Kurganbayev, an officer of the Department of Military Education and Science of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Particular attention during the training was paid to information security. The course was delivered by specialists from MNU’s Artificial Intelligence Implementation Group, who recently became the national champions in vibe coding among corporate IT specialists. Upon completion of the course, participants received certificates.

“Our goal is to equip military personnel with skills they can apply in their day-to-day service. We teach them to create their own digital solutions for specific tasks, from analysing data at the national and regional levels to automating workflows. The key is to demonstrate how it works and lower the barrier to entry so that participants can continue developing their ideas independently,” emphasised Sergey Pen, Vice Chair of the MNU Management Board for Science, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence.
Previously, members of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan completed a vibe coding course at MNU.
