MNU hosted an event on preventing young people’s involvement in the drug environment

Maqsut Narikbayev University hosted ‘Reducing Factors Involving Young People in the Drug Environment’ for university students and schoolchildren. MNU Management Board Chairman Talgat Maksutovich Narikbayev and First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Tolegenovich Alenov gave welcoming remarks.

Sergey Tsyrulnikov, Dinara Akylzhanova, Serik Abilkaiyr, Nurlan Asanov and Aliya Orazbayeva shared motivational speeches and experience. The programme included Special Rapid Response Unit demonstrations, service dog demonstrations and Sergey Tsyrulnikov’s strength records. The meeting ended with a group photo and an outing within ‘JauapBer’, a project of the Ombudsmen Club at MNU’s Institute of Constitutional and Political Studies.

The original announcement acknowledges MNU Provost S.G. Pen, Law School Dean O.S. Bektibayeva, and Police Colonel S.S. Ilinykh of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (КБН) for supporting the initiative.

The preventive theme is linked to SDG 16, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, through engagement with young people on avoiding involvement in crime. The reported event does not provide a measured reduction in drug involvement.
