Regular courses of the Euronews Academy were held at Maqsut Narikbayev University. More than 40 students and journalists completed the training.
The “Specialized Journalism” module brought together students and aspiring journalists from Astana, Almaty, and Pavlodar. Participants explored research methods and in-depth reporting techniques, learned how to work with complex terminology in the fields of science, healthcare, and high technologies, and studied multimedia storytelling for creating high-quality content in the digital environment. The trainer was Ioannis Giagkinis, an international expert, journalist of the Greek service of Euronews, and recipient of eight prestigious awards.
The “Production Management of International Television Programs” module was attended by producers, media managers, and media professionals. The program covered intercultural collaboration, coordination of remote teams, planning, and adaptation of formats for different markets. The module was conducted by Akis Tatsis, Head of the Greek Service and Head of the Euronews Bureau in Tashkent.
It should be noted that the project is being implemented within the framework of a memorandum between Euronews, the Media Damytu Qory corporate foundation, and universities in Astana. MNU serves as the main venue for the courses.
