The international academic journal Management Theory and Studies for Rural Business and Infrastructure Development has published an article by students of Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU). The authors explored circular economy practices and energy efficiency in five-star hotels in Kazakhstan.
The study focused on the implementation of environmentally sustainable practices in five-star hotels. MNU students Nurai Kasengazy, Aisha Sabit, and Dilnaz Sharapidenova, together with Timur Kogabaev, Adjunct Assistant Professor at MNU, and Rando Varnik, a professor at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, analyzed corporate documents and interviewed hotel managers. The authors concluded that energy efficiency is easier to implement within an individual hotel, whereas a circular economy requires cooperation beyond the boundaries of a single establishment.
It is worth noting that Management Theory and Studies for Rural Business and Infrastructure Development specializes in management, economics, entrepreneurship, and rural development. The journal has been published since 1999 by the Agriculture Academy of Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania. It is indexed in the Web of Science international database.
