Public Lecture “Formation of Local Self-Government Institutions: The Experience of Germany”

On November 6, 2023, a public lecture titled “Formation of Local Self-Government Institutions: The Experience of Germany” was held at the Public Library of Maqsut Narikbayev University. The invited expert was Friedrich Wilhelm Rebber, former mayor of the city of Menden (Germany), who shared his practical experience in organizing and operating municipal authorities in Germany, highlighted the specifics of interaction between local authorities and citizens, and spoke about the principles of transparency, accountability, and public participation in local decision-making.
