The “Tourism” and “Hospitality” programs signed a dual education agreement with the Sheraton Astana Hotel. The document formalizes the blend of university-based theory with industry-based practice and provides for employer participation in assessing learning outcomes and developing cases. Initiators: program leadership together with partner organizations. The initiative will improve the quality and practice-orientation of education (SDG 4), develop youth skills and employment (SDG 8), and strengthen university–industry collaboration (SDG 9, SDG 17). Expected results: a higher share of students with verified practical experience and updates to course syllabi based on industry feedback. Next steps include agreeing on internship schedules and appointing company mentors.
