A summer school dedicated to the study of Kazakhstan’s legal system was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University. The participants were students from Lanzhou University (PRC).
The program was organized as part of the cooperation between the two universities. Around 20 Chinese students gained an in-depth understanding of Kazakhstan’s legal system and also studied the basics of the Kazakh language. The program also included visits to Astana’s major landmarks.
“It was a very rewarding week for us, and we are truly grateful for the warm hospitality. We sincerely thank the administration of the MNU Law School for their responsiveness and support throughout our studies. We found it fascinating to learn about Kazakhstan’s legal system and its unique features, and we also really enjoyed our Kazakh language classes. In addition, we had the opportunity to participate in a meeting with the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović. We are deeply grateful for the exceptionally warm welcome and the meaningful cultural exchange,” said Zhang Jingyi, a student from Lanzhou University.
Earlier, MNU signed a memorandum of cooperation with Lanzhou University in the fields of education and research. The agreement provides for the implementation of academic mobility programs, joint research projects, as well as the organization of conferences, seminars, and symposiums. As part of the partnership, MNU students will also travel to Lanzhou University this summer to study Chinese law and gain firsthand experience of Chinese culture.
