Maqsut Narikbayev University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indonesia’s Universitas Alma Ata. The document is aimed at developing scientific and academic cooperation between the two institutions.
The agreement marks an important step in strengthening partnership ties between Kazakhstan and Indonesia in the field of higher education. The memorandum was signed by Sergey Pen, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Science, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence at MNU, and Hamam Hadi, Rector of Universitas Alma Ata. The signing ceremony was also attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Indonesia to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Mochammad Fadjroel Rahman.
The memorandum outlines cooperation in the implementation of joint educational and research projects, the development of academic mobility programs, the organization of scientific events, and the exchange of expertise. Special attention was given to collaboration within the programs of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Indonesian university. The parties emphasized their shared interest in building a long-term partnership and implementing initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and research.
It is worth noting that Alma Ata University is one of Indonesia’s young and rapidly developing private universities. The university is located in Yogyakarta, one of the country’s largest educational and cultural centers. It offers 22 academic programs in the fields of healthcare, information technology, engineering, economics, education, and the humanities.
Earlier, MNU also signed an agreement with Indonesia’s Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya.
