Research Schools

The Research School of Labour Law is a structural division of the MNU Law School.

The Research School of Administrative and German Law was founded in 2020 with the aim of conducting comprehensive research in the field of public law, focusing specifically on administrative and administrative procedural law. A key objective of the School is to study German Public Law, with the goal of adopting the most effective practices for integration into Kazakhstan's legislation and legal doctrine.

The Research School of Theory and Philosophy of Law was founded in 2022 to advance scientific research in contemporary legal theory and the state. It also explores the philosophical foundations of legal science and develops methodologies for legal research.

The Research School of International and Competitive Law (hereinafter referred to as the Research School) is a structural unit of the MNU Law School dedicated to advancing international and competitive law through education and research.

On 1 September 2022, the **Centre for Islamic Law** was established to conduct research and deepen the understanding of the continuity between Islamic law and the legal traditions of the Kazakh Khanate. The Centre focuses on studying manuscripts and written sources on Kazakh law from the pre-revolutionary period, with a particular emphasis on legal texts primarily written in Chagatai, Arabic, and Farsi, among other languages.

The **MNU Institute of Constitutional and Political Studies** was established in August 2023 as an independent structural unit of the University. The Institute conducts both fundamental and applied research aimed at supporting the implementation and development of constitutional reform in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Within the Institute, the **Scientific School of Constitutional Law** actively operates.

The Center for Global and Regional Governance (CEGREG) was established in 2024 within the International School of Economics at Maqsut Narikbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Center is dedicated to advancing research in international relations, with a specific focus on global and regional governance. It seeks to integrate the study of international relations with the exploration of governance systems that influence global and regional order, emphasizing perspectives from Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The MNU Center for Economic Research is a leading research institute at Maqsut Narikbayev University, dedicated to generating innovative solutions for the most pressing economic challenges both locally and globally. Our mission is to drive the advancement of economic knowledge and provide evidence-based insights that influence policy, business practices, and societal well-being.
