TOLES – Test of Legal English Skills – is a test for legal English skills, created to check language skills in the field of law and recognized by leading international companies.

Maqsut Narikbayev University is a British Council authorized IELTS exam registration center. MNU offers an intensive IELTS preparation course for students at Intermediate level and above, where you will learn the useful strategies and know-how you need to succeed in the IELTS exam.

The Pre-IELTS course is designed for students with a Pre-Intermediate level of English. The course will give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the IELTS exam format, improve your English level, and gain the basic knowledge and skills required for preparation.

Maqsut Narikbayev University offers Cambridge Assessment English A2 Key (KET), B1 Preliminary (PET), B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), and TKT (Module 1,2,3, CLIL, Young Learners) exams. These exams are the world leaders in English language certification.

The A2 Key (KET), B1 Preliminary (PET), B2 First (FCE), and C1 Advanced (CAE) exams are taken to determine English language level. These certificates are accepted for admission to foreign universities and employment in foreign companies.

The TKT certificate is designed to test a teacher’s theoretical knowledge of teaching methods, lesson planning and organization of teaching activities. By obtaining a TKT certificate, a teacher confirms his or her qualifications and gets the opportunity to share professional knowledge almost anywhere in the world. All Cambridge certificates are of unlimited validity.

KAZTEST is intended for civil servants and all interested individuals.
Kazakh language is taught according to the KAZTEST system – A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 levels.

KAZTEST INTENSIVE meets the standards of modern education and international experience. Classes in this course are held in an intensive format, which allows you to quickly achieve your goals.

The course is aimed at developing skills and knowledge of common Kazakh language. The course covers levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1. The course is conducted by highly qualified specialists of MNU.

SLA Language Center of  “M.S. Narikbayev KAZGUU University” JSC offers Kazakh and Russian language courses for all who wish to raise their language level, including foreign citizens.

Our main activity is professional language training with the involvement of highly qualified teachers.

The courses offered are aimed at developing language and communicative competence of foreign students in various situations.

The Kazakh/Russian as a Foreign Language course program includes the study of two modules:

First module: Grammar and phonetics of Kazakh/Russian language (150 hours);

The second module: Development of reading and writing skills, vocabulary (150 hours).

In addition, during the study of the discipline the listener gets acquainted with the history, culture, economy and politics of Kazakhstan.

Timing: as groups are recruited (starts from September 2024).
Levels: from beginner to advanced.
Visa support for foreign citizens is provided. At the end of the course a certificate is issued.

The Intensive English for Applicants course is an accelerated preparation course for the KEPT English placement exam and includes instruction in four basic skills:

• reading;
• writing (IELTS Writing task 2 essay format);
• listening;
• speaking.

The KEPT exam is taken to determine English/Kazakh/Russian language levels (mainly for MNU applicants).

The General English course is designed for everyone interested in improving their level of English. The course is aimed at developing all four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. By the end of the course, students will be able to increase their vocabulary and learn to express themselves confidently, both orally and in writing.

Academic English course is designed for students with Pre-Intermediate level and above who wish to enroll in a foreign university, study on academic mobility or take an internship in an international company. The course prepares students for exams such as PET/FCE/CAE, which are internationally recognized language proficiency exams.
