THE LAWYER OF A WELL-KNOWN HOLLYWOOD STAR VISITED THE WALLS OF MNU WITH A GUEST LECTURE!

In 2022, the whole world was following the Johnny Depp v.s. Amber Heard lawsuit. On June 1, 2022, the jury ruled in Depp’s favour. The interests and honour of “Captain Jack Sparrow” (the famous role of Johnny Depp) were defended by an outstanding American lawyer, Camille Vasquez.

Camille Vasquez was born on 6th July 1984 in the state of California, in the city of San Francisco, in a Cuban-Colombian family. She graduated with honours from the University of Southern California in 2006, where she received her bachelor’s degree. In 2010, Vazquez became a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Camille Vazquez’s career has focused on libel lawsuits. Besides Johnny Depp, Camille Vasquez has defended Hollywood actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Camille Vasquez is ranked in the top 10 lawyers in the United States.

Maqsut Narikbayev University was privileged to meet Ms Vazquez where she hosted a public lecture on the importance of personal brand in lawsuits. In addition to the lecture, Camille Vasquez shared interesting stories from her life that encouraged her to choose a career in law. MNU students and professors took Vazquez’s experience and actively asked questions.
