MNU hosts practical vibe coding course for deputies of Kazakhstan’s Kurultai

Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) has hosted a practical course on vibe coding for deputies of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The initiative aimed to enhance participants’ ability to use artificial intelligence in their day-to-day work. The two-day training brought together members of the Kurultai Committee on Digitalisation, Innovation and Science. Participants learned the fundamentals of vibe coding and gained hands-on experience in creating their own digital tools tailored to specific tasks.

“Courses like this help us develop the skills needed to use AI effectively. As members of the relevant committee, we work closely with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, as well as other government agencies. It is essential to understand vibe coding and how these systems work so that we can communicate effectively with representatives of these organisations and keep pace with technological developments. Over the two days, we gained foundational knowledge of prompt writing and implementation, application development, and key terminology. For example, I was able to create my own AI assistant,” said Maksut Nasibulov, a deputy of the Kurultai.

During the training, participants learned to analyse large datasets, develop platforms, and automate workflows. The course was delivered by specialists from MNU’s AI Implementation Group, who are national vibe coding champions among corporate IT professionals in Kazakhstan. The deputies also explored the university’s infrastructure and learned about its ongoing AI projects.

“The most important thing is that we studied not only the theory but also immediately put everything into practice. We can now apply the knowledge we gained in our work. I was very pleasantly surprised by the university and what it has accomplished for both students and faculty. The facilities offer everything one could need, including co-working spaces, libraries, relaxation areas, and even a podcast studio. I would like to thank MNU for the course,” said Aisulu Suleimenova, a deputy of the Kurultai.

Upon completion of the training, the participants were awarded certificates. It is worth noting that MNU alumni had previously also completed courses focused on the practical application of artificial intelligence.
