The International School of Journalism Maqsut Narikbayev University announces the appointment of Aigul Zhamalova as the new Dean.
Aigul Zhamalova is an experienced journalist and media manager with more than 15 years of media expertise. She has in-depth knowledge of international journalism gained during her studies at the University of Leeds (UK) under the prestigious Bolashak scholarship. Since 2021, Aigul Zhamalova has been a lecturer at Maqsut Narikbayev University.
Before joining Maqsut Narikbayev University Aigul Zhamalova held senior positions in leading media companies in Kazakhstan, such as Channel Seven and Atameken Business. She has extensive experience in the development and implementation of digital strategies, Internet marketing, personal and corporate brand promotion on the Internet, as well as conducting exclusive interviews and writing texts in three languages.
During her career, Aigul Zhamalova held the position of Corporate Communications Director at Astana International Financial Center, where she was engaged in the implementation of the updated digital strategy of the brand and building internal communications.
Maqsut Narikbayev University believes that Aigul’s extensive experience, in-depth knowledge and leadership qualities will be an priceless asset for the University, and the International School of Journalism under her leadership will reach new heights and become a leading institution for training highly qualified journalists in Kazakhstan.
