Visually-impaired version 
On January 9, as part of a guest lecture, future journalists got acquainted with the unique history of the newspaper “Qazaq”, which serves as a vivid example of perseverance and creative approach in journalism.
According to Mr. Ushkyn, the newspaper, which started with a capital of only 750 soms, continued its work thanks to the organisation of a joint-stock company under the leadership of Alikhan Bokeikhan and Akhmet Baitursynov. This provided each reader with an opportunity to receive shares and dividends.
During the lecture, scientist Ushkyn Saidyrakhman also underlined the importance of reading. He noted that it should be based not only on reading fast, but rather on understanding and enjoying the content. According to him, special attention should be given to the national literature in order to advance the Kazakh language.
