The joint programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe ‘Supporting the Kazakh authorities in improving the quality and efficiency of the justice system’ aims to improve Kazakhstan’s criminal justice system and institutional practices and bring them in line with international standards and to support the authorities in their efforts to improve the justice system.
This programme started on 25 July 2014 and will end on 24 July 2018. Its main target groups are the Supreme Court, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Academy of Justice, the Academy of Law Enforcement, the Academy of Justice, the Ministry of Justice and others.
