The CFA Institute is a global association of investment professionals that sets standards for professional excellence and supports the CFA charter. The organization actively advocates for compliance with the principles of ethical behavior in investment markets and is a source of knowledge in the global financial community. The ultimate goal is to create an environment in which the interests of investors are paramount, markets are functioning in the best possible way, and the economy is growing. The CFA Institute has over 176,000 members in 166 countries and territories, including 164,000 CFA members. The CFA program sets the standard for developing the skills, standards, competence and integrity of financial analysts, portfolio managers, investment consultants and other investment professionals worldwide. It is considered the most difficult professional certification in the investment field. The CFA curriculum and exams are conducted in English all over the world. Less than one in five candidates who start the program, successfully complete it and receive the coveted CFA certificate, the “gold standard” for investment professionals.
