On January 23, the final of the business project competition for the Principles of Management discipline students was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University. The discipline is taught by Aidarbek Khojanazarov, who is a Senior Lecturer at the MNU International School of Economics and a Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The competition finalists presented their projects, business models, and the market potential of their ideas. They covered the areas of improving online delivery services with the use of artificial intelligence, developing leadership skills, and supporting small and medium-sized businesses. The team of the Leader’s Voice project became the winners of the competition and received a cash prize of $10,000 from Aidarbek Khojanazarov for the implementation of their project.
“Our project is aimed at developing public speaking skills among sales staff and heads of small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan. This will help them improve and be able to enter the international market, as well as promote economic growth in our country. We intend to invest the prize in our future and express our sincere gratitude to MNU and Mr. Aidarbek Khojanazarov for such an opportunity,” said Anel Ashimova, the winner of the competition, a 2nd-year student majoring in Marketing.
The Principles of Management discipline is aimed at developing students’ practical business skills. The annual presentation of business projects provides participants with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and willingness to solve professional problems. The competition itself was held for the third time, and student initiatives are being supported by sponsorship.
“I always highly appreciate the students of Maqsut Narikbayev University. Although our classes are held in English, students effectively learn the material, actively participate in discussions, and demonstrate a high level of knowledge. I am also convinced that you can learn a lot from young people,” said Aidarbek Khojanazarov, Senior lecturer at MNU.
