Delegates of the IFLA World Library and Information Congress visited Maqsut Narikbayev University, where they were introduced to the university’s modern infrastructure.
Representatives of this leading international event in the field of librarianship highly praised the work of the university library. As part of the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Library of the Supreme Court of Korea. Under this cooperation, MNU will receive high-quality publications and materials in the field of law.
The IFLA World Library and Information Congress was held in Astana for the first time last week under the theme “Uniting Knowledge, Shaping the Future.” The congress brought together around 1,700 participants from 114 countries. Over four days, experts discussed emerging trends, digital innovations, and sustainable development within the global library network.
It is worth noting that Maqsut Narikbayev University operates two libraries, one of which is open to the public. The library collection comprises more than 192,000 printed books.
