On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, faculty members of Maqsut Narikbayev University were honoured with high state awards, as decreed by the Head of State.
During the practical research conference “Constitution and Statehood: Dialogue of Law and the Future” at the Palace of Independence in Astana, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented the Order of Parasat to Emeritus Professors Marat Kogamov and Unzila Shapak. The Order of Qurmet was awarded to Emeritus Professor Sara Idrisheva and Associate Professor Indira Aubakirova. In addition, Emeritus Professor Klara Kim received the Eren Eñbegi Üshin medal from the President. The professors were recognised for their significant contributions to the country’s socio-economic development and the strengthening of the rule of law and public order.
Meanwhile, during one of the conference sessions hosted at MNU, a solemn ceremony was held to award the commemorative medal “30 Years of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.” Among the recipients were Chairman of the Board Talgat Narikbayev; Emeritus Professors Ramazan Nurtayev and Zhannetta Kalisheva; Associate Professors Nurzhan Yeshniyazov, Muslim Khassenov, and Roman Melnik; Teaching Professor Aliya Orazbayeva; and Assistant Professor Almas Zhumagali. On behalf of the President, the awards were presented by Deputy Chair of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakyt Nurmukhanov.
The commemorative medal recognises individuals who have made a substantial contribution to upholding the supremacy of the Constitution, strengthening the country’s independence, promoting unity and stability in Kazakh society, protecting constitutional rights and freedoms, and advancing the principles and ideas of constitutionalism.
