Students of Maqsut Narikbayev University became prize-winners at the 5th International Olympiad on Financial Security held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. They took second place.
The Olympiad took place from 29 September to 3 October, bringing together around 600 participants from 40 countries. A total of 27 school students and 161 university students were recognised as winners and prize-winners. Among them were Kuanishbek Amanbayev, a student of the MNU Law School, and Maksat Tilektes, a student of the International School of Economics.
The central theme of this year’s competition focused on new technologies — the opportunities they create and the challenges they pose. Over five days, participants solved a variety of tasks, took part in intellectual games on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, competed in phygital chess, and joined several other events. The team of Kazakhstan was represented by ten students from nine universities.
These international achievements highlight the effectiveness of Maqsut Narikbayev University’s partnership with the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan. MNU serves as a base university for the agency’s personnel training. Earlier this year, in May, the university hosted the final round of the National Olympiad on Financial Security.
Maqsut Narikbayev University congratulates the students on their success and wishes them continued achievements.
