Maqsut Narikbayev University welcomed H.E. Mr. Salman Bal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, who delivered a guest lecture for students.
During his visit, Ambassador Bal spoke about his diplomatic career, the culture and traditions of one of the world’s most economically developed countries, and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Swiss Confederation. He also answered students’ questions and encouraged young people to take an active part in addressing global challenges. The lecture was held as part of the special course Intercultural Communication.
“This was my first visit to MNU, and I was impressed by its infrastructure and organisation. The students demonstrated a high level of knowledge—their questions were precise and relevant to the topic. Overall, the visit left a wonderful impression, as I believe you never get a second chance to make a first impression,” said Salman Bal.
Switzerland remains one of Kazakhstan’s key political, trade, and economic partners in Europe and is among the country’s largest foreign investors.
