Graduates of the International School of Economics at Maqsut Narikbayev University have once again demonstrated the exceptional quality of their education by successfully passing a prestigious international exam.
This year’s graduates of the Business Administration in Finance programme — Aruzhan Seifulla, Said Musaнev, and Albina Kumysbayeva — passed the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level I exam on their first attempt. The CFA exam consists of three levels, each assessing candidates’ knowledge in financial analysis and investment management. This achievement opens strong career opportunities for MNU alumni in leading international companies.

Although accredited courses can be challenging, their impact over time is truly rewarding. During their studies, the graduates were employed by companies such as KPMG and Freedom Broker. Previous CFA exam passers from MNU include Assiya Kenzhetayeva, Aigerim Tursynbek, and master’s student Yerbol Darzhanov. Notably, the global average pass rate for CFA Level I this session did not exceed 43%.
The bachelor’s and master’s programmes of the International School of Economics at MNU are part of the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program, confirming their alignment with international standards. The curriculum covers at least 70% of the CFA® (CBOK®) and places strong emphasis on professional ethics and standards of conduct recognised in the global financial community. Owing to their high academic performance, students also have access to the CFA scholarship programme, which allows them to take the exam on preferential terms.
