Maqsut Narikbayev University has received 40 copies of the book Kazinform. Chronicles Without Censorship as a gift. The handover ceremony took place during a meeting between the university administration and representatives of Kazinform International News Agency.
Kazinform, which is part of Kazakhstan President’s TV and Radio Complex, is the first state news agency of Kazakhstan to receive international status. For 105 years, it has been delivering reliable and timely information on politics, the economy, education, healthcare, sports, culture, and other key areas of public life. The agency’s materials are published in five languages, as well as in Latin script and Töte zhazu.
During the meeting, MNU Provost Anar Ibrayeva congratulated Kazinform on its anniversary and expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Kazakhstan President’s TV and Radio Complex for their productive partnership. She recalled that in 2023, in collaboration with the Complex, MNU launched the International School of Journalism. Dean of the School Aigul Zhamalova highlighted the wide range of opportunities this partnership offers students — from internships and employment to learning directly from leading national and international journalists.
Meanwhile, Kazinform Managing Director Nagashybek Aldan spoke about the extensive work that went into creating the anniversary book. Written in an accessible and engaging style, the publication reveals the professional insights and behind-the-scenes practices of the international news agency’s newsroom. He expressed confidence that the book will serve as a valuable educational resource for future journalists.
The book Kazinform. Chronicles Without Censorship is now available to readers at the university library.
