International Accreditation Agencies Reaffirm High Quality of Education at MNU

Prestigious international accreditation agencies have once again confirmed that the educational programmes of Maqsut Narikbayev University fully meet global quality standards. The university welcomed representatives from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA, United Kingdom) and the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA, Germany).

The university’s leadership met with Rob Stroud, Executive Director of QAA — one of the world’s leading organisations in higher education quality assurance. During the meeting, Mr Stroud presented a special award recognising MNU’s commitment to high academic standards and compliance with rigorous international criteria. Last year, MNU became the first university in the CIS to receive institutional accreditation from QAA.

Previously, QAA conducted external evaluations of top British universities, including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and members of the prestigious Russell Group. The QAA accreditation process pays special attention to institutional governance, adherence to academic integrity, student-centred learning, and the effectiveness of internal quality assurance mechanisms. The accreditation also ensures that MNU diplomas are recognised in the United Kingdom.

Additionally, MNU hosted a FIBAA seminar dedicated to quality assurance and the development of academic programmes. Representatives of Kazakhstani universities took part in discussions on international accreditation standards and strategies for enhancing educational quality. During the seminar, FIBAA Executive Director Diana Freiberger presented MNU with a FIBAA Premium Seal certificate, confirming that the university’s MBA programme meets the highest standards of academic excellence, teaching quality, and practical relevance.

FIBAA is one of Europe’s leading accreditation agencies, specialising in the evaluation and accreditation of higher and continuing education programmes in economics, law, and social sciences. The agency provides a comprehensive assessment of programmes—from strategic and academic management to graduates’ contributions to their companies and society. Earlier, MNU became the first university in Kazakhstan to successfully undergo FIBAA international accreditation without a single condition.

MNU’s educational programmes are also accredited by several other prestigious international agencies, including CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIM, HRCI, GARP, CFA, and CEEMAN.
