Maqsut Narikbayev University has established a partnership with one of Estonia’s leading academic institutions, signing a memorandum of cooperation with Tallinn University.
The document was signed by Anar Ibrayeva, MNU Provost, and Tõnu Viik, Rector of Tallinn University, during the Kazakhstan–Estonia Rectors’ Forum held yesterday at Nazarbayev University. The Forum brought together President of Estonia Alar Karis, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, and rectors of universities from both countries.
Tallinn University is the largest humanities-focused university in Estonia’s capital. It was established twenty years ago by a decision of the national Parliament. Under the memorandum, the two universities will cooperate in academic staff exchanges, joint training of highly qualified academic and research personnel, and the development of joint grant proposals. The agreement also includes joint organisation of lectures, seminars, research projects, conferences, as well as the exchange of publications and educational and methodological materials.
