Maqsut Narikbayev University held a meeting between its leadership and representatives of the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The parties discussed expanding their partnership and implementing joint research initiatives in law and artificial intelligence.
Professor Linghan Zhang and Professor Kong Qingjiang of the China University of Political Science and Law spoke about China’s achievements in legal education and the development of AI. They emphasised the importance of adapting academic programmes to global challenges and emerging technologies. CUPL, founded in 1952 in Beijing, is recognised as one of China’s premier institutions for legal studies.
Earlier, a memorandum of cooperation between MNU and CUPL had been signed in Urumqi. In addition, together with the AIFC Court, IAC and AITU, the two universities announced the launch of a joint initiative, LegalTech Lab, aimed at developing an AI model to support the preparation of legal documents.
