Maqsut Narikbayev University hosted a lecture by Dilyara Alenova, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Speaking to students of the International School of Journalism, she highlighted the role and significance of effective government communications.
Drawing on more than ten years of professional experience, she shared successful cases in crisis response, electoral campaign communications, and media relations. The speaker emphasised the importance of building public trust and avoiding errors in information dissemination. She also noted the growing demand for press service specialists in government bodies and international organisations.
Dilyara Alenova answered students’ questions on the interaction between politicians and journalists, career prospects in the media sphere, and the work of the public administration system. She underlined the need for strong internal motivation and readiness to work in any circumstances. The speaker also reflected on how her education at MNU contributed to the successful development of her career.
The lecture also introduced students to opportunities for completing their academic internship at the Press Service of the Government of Kazakhstan.
