A Regional Office of the Council of Europe Centre Opens at MNU

Maqsut Narikbayev University continues to serve as an active hub for global dialogue and academic cooperation. The regional office of the Centre for the Prevention and Combatting of Education Fraud (PCEF) in Central Asia has commenced its work at the University.

PCEF was established by the Council of Europe together with the Italian Information Centre on Academic Mobility and Equivalence (CIMEA). The Centre operates as a joint mechanism open to all Council of Europe member states and addresses fraudulent practices in education, including diploma mills, falsified qualifications, and academic misconduct. It also promotes ethics, transparency, and integrity in higher education through research, analysis, prevention, and enforcement, strengthening both national and regional perspectives.

It should also be noted that the Academic Integrity League has been operating at MNU since 2018.
