The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Canada to Kazakhstan, Christopher Duggan, delivered a lecture at Maqsut Narikbayev University. His talk took place as part of the course “Applied Diplomacy”.
Christopher Duggan spoke about the development of relations between Astana and Ottawa. He also discussed geopolitical issues with students and exchanged views on the shared values of the two countries. In addition, the Ambassador shared his personal diplomatic experience and answered a number of questions.
“Students of MNU have a bright future. Diplomacy requires the very best professionals; therefore, we must move in the right direction and openly discuss issues of peace, security, and well-being. After today’s lecture, I am pleased to note that I place great hopes on the future of Kazakh diplomacy,” Christopher Duggan emphasized.
It should be recalled that at the end of May this year, MNU also hosted an international roundtable with the participation of representatives from Canada’s governmental and expert institutions.
