Provost of Maqsut Narikbayev University, Anar Ibrayeva, took part in the Quality Assurance in Higher Education: Current Status and Prospects for Development, held recently in Astana.
The forum brought together university rectors, representatives of government bodies, international organisations, members of the expert community, and specialists in accreditation and quality assessment. Participants discussed the current state and future development of quality assurance systems in higher education and science, as well as the impact of contemporary technological and regulatory changes on higher and postgraduate education. The need to further strengthen quality assurance mechanisms, expand international cooperation, and integrate best international practices into the national education system was emphasised.
During a thematic session devoted to quality assurance and the improvement of state regulation in the sector, Provost Anar Ibrayeva shared MNU’s experience of institutional transformation and outlined the university’s internal quality assurance system. The session was also attended by representatives of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Centre for State Scientific and Technical Expertise, the Academy of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, and the accreditation agency ASIIN.
Earlier, Maqsut Narikbayev University hosted National Forum on Advancing Academic Integrity.
