Responsibilities: Teaching the course Common Law.
Requirements:
1. Education: A Master’s degree or PhD (preferably from an overseas university) in the relevant field corresponding to the taught discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of the Common Law system, including the doctrine of judicial precedent and the foundations of contract, tort and constitutional law.
- Understanding of comparative legal analysis (Common Law and the continental legal system).
- Teaching experience in a higher education institution (preferred).
- Knowledge of the current law of the Astana International Financial Centre.
2. Additional Qualifications: Professional development courses; international training programmes or academic placements are an advantage.
3. Professional and/or teaching experience is an advantage.
4. Personal Competencies: Adaptability, strong classroom engagement skills, creativity, diligence, teamwork, and a high sense of responsibility.
5. Language requirements: Proficiency in Russian, Kazakh and English.
6. Proficient computer skills are mandatory, including the use of online teaching tools, MS Office, data analysis software, and learning management systems (LMS).
Additional Requirements (Preferred):
– Experience of working or teaching at an international university;
– Membership in professional and academic associations.
