A meeting with top managers of the world’s largest hotel group, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University. The speakers shared practical advice on building a successful career in the international hospitality industry.
The students were addressed by Aidar Koishybayev, General Manager of Wyndham Garden Astana and Ramada by Wyndham Astana, as well as Rauan Begimov, Director of Wyndham Garden Burabay. They spoke about their career paths and the key skills that help young professionals confidently enter the industry. The speakers also emphasized the importance of customer orientation, discipline, and the ability to respond quickly to workplace situations.
During the meeting, particular attention was given to the importance of continuous learning and understanding the standards of international hotel chains. Students from the “Tourism” and “Hospitality” programs actively asked questions and received valuable insights. In addition, Ayaulym Bakhytzhan, an MNU alumna and a marketing specialist at the hotel chain, shared her experience.

The key is not to be afraid of starting from the bottom and trying yourself as an intern. Only by going through all the stages from within can you truly master the profession and grow into a professional”, – Ayaulym Bakhytzhan noted.
It is worth noting that, according to the ranking of educational programs by the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, MNU is among the top three universities in the country for training specialists in the field of hospitality.
